What is the difference between Counseling and Life Coaching?

Counseling therapy focuses on the present as it relates to the past. It helps in finding deeper understanding of the past and how it affects current thinking, behavior, feelings and emotions. At divi therapy, I like to partner with you to help you investigate self-realized strategies to cope or move forward.

Life coaching is present and future focused. As a coach I partner with you to create awareness and responsibility . Coaching evokes self-actualized growth, improvement and progress to positive change. It also explores thoughts, feelings and emotions. Coaching is incredibly empowering and life transforming.

At divi therapy I believe in a client finding self-empowerment through the process. When you are able to explore your thoughts and feelings and find the solutions within yourself, through powerful awareness and perspective change, then there is no relying on an outside source. You are able to then live and thrive at your full potential because you are resourceful and whole as you are!
